

Packwood is a small town with a great location. In the heart of Volcano Country, located centrally between Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Adams it is close to everything with scenic beauty and recreational opportunities that attract visitors from all over the world who come for the hiking, hunting, fishing, bird and wildlife watching, skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling and camping.

Packwood is located approximately 9 miles south of Mt. Rainier National Park and approximately 30 miles north-east of Mt. St. Helens National Monument. It is on Highway 12 in the northern part of Gifford Pinchot National Forest. The newly expanded White Pass Ski area is 20 miles to the east. Now with 1,000 more feet of vertical skiing.
Summer events include two flea markets, an art exhibition, hotrod car show, music festival and several Barbecues. The Christmas festival, winter carnival and a snowmobile hill climb keep us busy in the winter.
